Annie Bashaw writes short fiction and novels, and the occasional haiku. She explores a variety of genres, favoring literary, science fiction, fantasy, eco fiction, and experimentalism. She has two publications and one short story forthcoming in West Trade Review. She also has several short stories and novels in the works.

Annie Bashaw grew up in Colorado and later moved to Michigan to pursue an engineering degree. Later, she moved to Scotland, where she graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Master’s degree in Creative Writing. During her graduate program, she worked as an editor for the university’s publication, From Arthur’s Seat, which also features her short story, “The Ottoman.”

Annie currently lives in Washington, D.C., where she works as an engineer by day and moonlights as a writer. She frequently returns to Colorado to visit her family and venture into the Rocky Mountains.
